  • “Step 1: Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. You can sit cross-legged on the floor or lie on your back.
  • Step 2: Put one hand on your belly and the other hand on your chest. 
  • Step 3: Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose. Imagine that you are filling your belly with air, just like a balloon. Feel your belly rise.
  • Step 4: Hold the breath for a couple of seconds. Imagine your balloon is full of air.
  • Step 5: Slowly breathe out through your mouth, letting all the air out of your balloon. Feel your belly fall. Repeat this, focusing on the rise and fall of your belly.”
