VIRGINIA HOMESCHOOL EVALUATION SERVICES
By scheduling and/or purchasing a homeschool evaluation through our website, you acknowledge and agree to the following additional terms specific to this service:
Eligibility and Scope
Virginia homeschool evaluation services are intended for families homeschooling under §22.1-254.1(C) of the Code of Virginia. It is your responsibility to ensure you are eligible and in compliance with Virginia’s home instruction requirements. This service is designed to provide a portfolio-based evaluation, one of the acceptable methods for demonstrating evidence of progress as outlined in the law.
Nature of Service
Our evaluations are non-clinical, portfolio-based reviews conducted by an individual who holds a master’s degree in an academic discipline, in accordance with Virginia law. These evaluations are not diagnostic assessments, therapeutic services, or legal guidance.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
You agree to submit representative samples of your child’s academic work from the school year being evaluated. Incomplete or late submissions may delay your evaluation or result in cancellation without refund. It is your responsibility to ensure all materials are submitted by the evaluator’s stated deadline.
Delivery and Turnaround
Evaluation letters will be delivered by email in PDF format within the timeframe communicated at booking or purchase. You are responsible for submitting the completed letter to your local school division by the state-mandated deadline.
No Guarantee of Acceptance
Our evaluation letters are written in good faith and consistent with Virginia homeschool statute. However, the final determination of sufficiency lies with your local division superintendent, and we cannot guarantee acceptance or approval.
Refunds
All sales are final. However, if you have scheduled and completed a Virginia Homeschool Evaluation and we are unable to provide a letter due to a lack of sufficient evidence indicating academic progress (as required under Virginia law), you may request a refund in writing within 30 days of your evaluation meeting. Requests submitted after this 30-day period will not be eligible for a refund.
Please note: Refunds will not be issued for missed deadlines, incomplete submissions, or failure to comply with the service requirements as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
